It has been forever since I have posted anything! Life has been insane with mom duties, setting up the etsy store, and my full time job. The little one sits up now and attempts to crawl. She has backwards down and spins in circles like a pro. A few days ago she started saying Mama. She is growing up so fast. I could not be more proud!

Getting crafty! |
So, the other day I was scrolling through Facebook and came across a cute little craft post that one of my friends had liked. They had taken 2 pieces of glass and made little glittery foot prints on one, sandwiched the prints in the glass, then framed it. Simple right? I would just take the little bug feet and stamp her little prints in non toxic craft glue on the glass then cover in the glitter. Easier said than done.
I enlisted the help of her daddy to hold her up so I could stamp the prints. She had been pretty calm and in a very good mood so I figured we would get the prints done before bath time. Every time I stamped a foot, she would squirm and the print would smear. I cleaned that glass at least 4 times. What I had not counted on is that, as she has gotten a bit older, she has become super ticklish. I figured she would be. Poor baby takes after Mama. At least she had fun and I did finally get a few good prints.
The prints dried over night to make sure they were not still tacky and I added her name and her age in silver. My frame is already a float frame, meaning it was made to sandwich the sheets of glass already and did not require any special prep so I just popped the parts together.
I think it turned out pretty good. The only thing I would have probably done differently would have been to stamp her little feet gently while she was sleeping. That is the only way I was able to get her little hand and foot imprints done when she was a newborn.
Thanks for checking in. Come by the shop some time and check out what's new!

Could have used a better contrasting color for the lettering but I think the silver is cute. |
